"As you know.."

Yes, one of "those" pages xD, sometimes the necessity of exposition/explanations is unavoidable, but I have hope I got it well enough integrated in the overall narrative and naturally occurring conversation, without the awkward side-effects or any stopping of the flow.

Anyways - the "introducing the various parts of the world and their reactions" part is complete, next week we can move on to the action and back to Alph ;D

It's always a good idea to have an escape route lined up just in case.

Ooo poor guy with the broom in the background in the third panel.

That last panel looks great. Large crowd scenes are a lot of work.

Yep, and this one is perfect, going back to the past when everything was still all fine and dandy, it's like reloading a save game ;D

It's the same poor guy who had to deal with the vice president in #2 o.O

Thanks :D
...and fortunately I could draw them out-of-focus in this case, saved me 1-2 hours of work.

These people are up to no good! o.O

Thanks :)) Something I learned in an art course came in really handy here - Draw something but simplify it down so that you don't really draw it, yet still it looks like what's supposed to be. It's time saving but also a very effective way to create visual depth.

This page is great, but I really like the close ups of the characters in the middle panel. Nicely done!! :)

Thanks :))

Yes, had to put some extra work into that one, characters with distinct facial features, and not only "my own race", which I tend to default to if I don't pay attention - Everyone would be "white" with various skin colors, instead of actually different races..

Holy cow...yeah, that crowd scene is amazing. Currently catching up on your comic! I really love your style! Is it all pencil?

Thanks :D

It's a mix of pencil and digital. I draw the whole page on paper, but also do a lot of clean-up after the scan, not only increasing brightness/contrast but also doing some tablet drawing on top of it, to have the art pop out more. Lettering is purely digitally.

You don't play Eve Online do you? Some of these mechanics sound like Eve with gates that collapse after so much ship traffic and interdictor ships. Very cool stuff!

I haven't played it but I remember I checked out the site some time back, and got awestruck by the graphics and design. I wish I had more time on my hands ..

The time gate's limited capacity is due to in-story physics, with the energy conservation law and mass-energy equivalence. I'll make an extra page about the whole time travel mechanisms some day, but the short version - The gate is made by charging a specific type of subatomic particles, which then upon backwards traveling un-charge, the charge energy is equivalent to the transported mass.
