And so the actual story begins. On the planet.

Worry not, we'll come back to the orbit station and the crew there, they have just become ...somewhat older. Anyways-

"Proudly" introducing the main character.

Thanks.

I must admit, the last panel was a pain to draw, the background a struggle, with so much stuff going on in a picture they can so easily float together into one mess...

Yes, the hoverboardthingie, I fear he likes it more than would be healthy-

Wow, so many details on this page. Looking at it was like a tasty treat for my eyeballs. I think you are doing great at establishing enivironments with the backgrounds.

Thanks. I had to redraw that one a couple of times, nice to hear it worked out. I often feel the strong temptation to just skip backgrounds (nothing is happening there anyway, right?) but then I realize, the characters need their environment.

The last panel looks awesome! Is that girl crazy or is that stuff in her hair what all the kids are wearing in the future?

Wearing things like that is considered rather weird, or even crazy. In this world, people often do want to add some "creative extras" to their individuality. But that hair stuff is too much..

I love looking at your depiction of street life in the second panel.

And sheeesh!! I had to do math to figure out how much time has gone by. You made me do math...

"Aaaarrrggghhh!!!" (shakes fists towards the heavens)

The math is just lovely, and the astronomical facts, see my contribution in the hover pop-up box ;)

I was originally tempted to make this planet just be like Earth, or very similar, would have been way more convenient for everybody. But as many or even most habitable planets are with rather shorter years, I decided to go for that.

Ah thanks for letting me know about your hover box info. Very cool idea. I also like your attention to detail with reference to plausible cosmic situations etc...well thought out I think.

Yeah, I want to make the comic at least somewhat realistic. It may not be hard sf, but not totally soft either. ;)
