I fear Alph was very tired when preparing this part of the talk. But anyways- Welcome to "Worse than Groolar".

Those balloons! Hahaha.
That crowd in panel two is really cool. I bet that took a while!

Yes, that crowd took like forever.

Love it.

I think I'm better than everyone else too, but I hate trying to prove it because I can't.

Well, all what you need to do is being obedient to the Walderon regime. Then they can take care of all that proving for you, while you just enjoy a wonderful life. ;)

That second panel is great. Maybe some of those strict Walderon soldiers will go to Groolar and straighten some of those gangsters out.

In that case they'd need to take over the whole planet. Which they certainly do want. After they've sacked Coldaron, that is.

There *is* the Interplanetary Peace Agreement, but who knows how long that will last..

Probably someone who just followed the instructions from a standard Coldaron business man.. :P

So, Starship-Troopers world... movie, not book.

I think that we can invoke the "unreliable narrator" principle here. I doubt that Citizen Franchise would end up this badly. After all, the military will still want recruits, and semi-willing taxpayers.

He he yes Starship Trooperish indeed, I can see why ;)

Yes, a story always has at least two sides, also when it comes to the Walderon history and society. While there is some truth in Alph's presentation, he's no doubt oversimplifying..

The Walderon citizens are many, and the very most more than willingly going to the military. And producing kids --> more citizens for the military.

Dictatorship, race ideology, parades parades parades... Yes, all that makes a nicely high score on the walderometer. I had no particular country in mind though, though I can't deny that Nazi-Germany played a major role.

How much of his presentation are generalization? He's making out the planets to be four homogenous populations.

Or is it too early for me to ask that questions? =x

He got the major things right, or kind of right, but no doubt he's painting in extremely broad strokes. The professor is not pleased xD.
