That's pretty mean right? Once heard, never never ever to get rid of again. Furovision songs just have to be like that ;D

Just as well that Kobolt never gets tired of dealing with captives.

Groolar captain: (to radio) How long's the queue now?

Groolar pilot: *pauses in manoeuvring her craft menacingly through the sky, aligns mapping metrics* (to radio) Nearly eight kilometres, and growing all the time. There's another megatransport just landed and unloading... and another incoming.

Groolar captain: Well... we've got a whole heavily-populated planet's worth of antis to deal with here. I mean, the Great Leader's word is law, and her energy and appetite are endless, but... we're going to be at this for a looooong time. Maybe we should set up a concentration camp, or something, in the mean time. 'Least that way we'd have a guardroom to relax in, and some guard towers 'n' crap to sit down in.

Groolar bravo: Oh, can we?! I've always wanted to work in a concentration camp! With lots and lots of barbed wire! And searchlights! And barbed wire! And a moat - full of barbed wire! Can we?! Can we?! Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease-

Ferros: *quick-marches into view, addressing line of captives as he goes* Go home! We'll recapture you later! Go home! We'll recapture you later! Go home! We'll recapture you later!

Groolar captain: Captain Ferros! What's-

Ferros: The Great Leader says the captives are getting dehydrated, and she wants them juicy and fresh. Stay here and keep the line moving when it reappears. We're probably gonna have to build some sort of prison camp here at this rate.

Groolar bravo: *stands to attention, raises hand* I volunteer! Let's have ALL the barbed wire!!!

[...]

Groolar bravo: *stares at all the barbed wire* *looks down at his Kobolt Kordinar Cryostasis Camp commandant uniform* *slaps display case containing all the barbed wire for the umpteenth time that day*

Display case audio system: Barbed wire. This short section is believed to be the only remaining example of this primitive containment material in existence. Please return it, along with this display case, to the Kordinar City Museum. Please. Thank you.

Ferros: (on intercom) You there? Warm us up another fifteen captives. Kobolt's really going through them today. We'll be 'round for pickup within the hour.

Groolar bravo camp commandant: *keys intercom* Fifteen - one-five - captives. Will do. *unkeys intercom* *selects fifteen captives on control touchpanel, clicks "revive"* *looks around his otherwise empty office* So... BORED!!!!!! ;_;

>:=)>

Oh dear... xD

A nightmare queue indeed! xDDD

No wonder they prefilter potential captives before they eventually go to the gov quarters ;D

The very most haters would actually never get caught at all, considering Kordinar is an entire planet with a whole lot of people. ...which may explain why there's not that much resistance. just do nothing, keep low, and somebody else will get caught instead :P

The hoppelpoppel people are most likely goners though, they're just too bad to remain alive. And such a catch gives a whole lot of points. It's the new sports here on Kordinar now- find those "worthy" of getting caught, earn points! o.O

Anyways-
So true, this new government isn't really into the so-called labor camp thing. Should they need to get rid of captives more quickly, then right to the meat factory. Canned dog food perhaps? Or how about spaceship fuel?

Well, barbed wire may still be a thing. Now power outage is not really very likely, but who knows? Yay for redundancy! Backup systems, always good! Or, most importantly, it adds so nicely to the crapsack tyranny feel! ;D

This page has so much impact, love how it's one big panel and all the details :D

Also I'm hyped to see everyone's favorite Tyrant back in action, it's been too long...or perhaps not long enough XD

The world is certainly no longer what it once (as in just recently) was.

Yes, I fear "everyone's favorite Tyrant" will be seen in action very soon now.

"Great Leader, we bring more captives", or "Bompa-di-bompa-di-bompa-di-bomp"?

Hmmm both could work o.O

That was great fun, and yay, Boneheads *almost* won. The winner had dancing sharks - no wonder they won ;)

One of the Bonehead guys (Gyfkajötnur, the blond one) is a Kobolt follower, so yes, I guess the Great leader would be pleased ;)

They're stationary, just like parked cars just in the air ;)

(and add some neat scifi inversed graviton tech to explain why they're not falling down. I may make an extra page about that at some point)

The competition is over now, but you can still see all the entries, the voting and the results.

The "innocent and fun" thing refers to Kordinar, I imagine the Furyvision entry from the times before Kobolt's taking over.

This reminds me of a panel where Calvin is standing in the rain, and Bill Watterson says something like he doesn't really like using pen for atmosphere but on there that worked. So, I'm just wondering do you use different pens and pencils, like I do? How about charcoal? Whatever you can grab? XD

I start off on paper with different types of pencils, first firm ones, then softer ones. Then - scan, increase contrast & clean up all the smudges from the pencils (the contrast adjustment fixes a lot but not all of it.. ). Finally, I "ink" here and there with the digital pen, and add some grays (actually transparent blacks).

So yes, a whole lot of different pens and pencils :))
