We need you Pete!!!!

-

Oookay, that was the last page of the in-total four pages long dialog between two characters. Avoiding the "talking heads" can be a real challenge at times.. Put the camera at something else than just the heads of course, but at the same time it should remain natural. ;)

-

Clean-up is finished. For now at least, there may be smaller changes every now and then, should I suddenly see things which just have to get fixed. Heh, who knows, maybe the whole comic gets inked or even colored one day O.O, but that's far far future stuff... Well, anyways-

- All pages have now darker line-art as well as conveniently readable text.

- Page 12: I added a new speech bubble in the second panel, saying that the public shall not hear about the 'future apocalypse news'. For some reason I took this for granted, no need to mention it, but then I realized (Thank you, Seabiscuit, for your comment on this :D), it's better to say so explicitly, to leave any doubt.

"Pete we need you to do this for the future of our universe. No pressure now!"

Wow, lotta psychics around, huh? Pete pls. Step up, son!

(Ohh, that new speech bubble. Cool!:D)
(I know what you mean about trying to avoid talking heads hahah, it's rough!...)

Ha ha lol poor Pete indeed. But I guess it's worse for Alph. In the end, Pete will just be conveniently put on that PSI table, which then does the job for him. Alph however, is totally on his own. D:

Pseudo-psychics... Yes, step up! Or "Son I am disappoint!"

Those "other psychics" are just here for our entertainment. We'll be needing a real psychic now. So tell Pete to get his ass in gear.

Yeah, we can all trust good old Pete.
Alot of compensation? Did you hear that Pete? You have some leverage so you can ask for something more than the ice cream sandwich like I previously suggested. You could probably get your own ice cream truck.

A whole truck. Oh yes, Pete. You can't say no to that. You'd regret it for the rest of your life.

And Pete, because we feel really generous today, we'll even let you choose which of those annoying tunes the truck should have. :D

Sporks! As many as he wants! And cash. then he can buy even more sporks. :D

The hot tub sounds good too. Pete didn't have much luck with girls lately..

Jet packs would be too exciting, and Kloobs probably way to scary..

Most psychics are unreliable these days...

Pete is our only hope... Will he accept if they give him limited edition collectibles from the movie "NOMNOM" or the game "T.B. The Tentacle Brain"?

Yay for NOMNOM! And T.B. ..even though it was a giant flop.

I fear all that is rather "Alph stuff" though.. For Pete such would just be punishment. xD

But Alph should be rewarded too, right? After all he has to do the hardest part (?)

Sometimes the "talking heads" are necessary. It's kind of like those pages I call "bridge pages" that are necessary to keep the story moving along, yet not all that exciting to read (if that makes sense). But your facial expressions and art style make even the talking head pages fun to look at.

Oh yes, "bridge pages" are definitely necessary in this comic, characters sometimes need to just talk to each other, sometimes that dialog may get pretty long too.. I avoid the plain talking heads by varying from "only the head" to "head + upper body" or almost "whole body", this also allows for body language and gesticulations which further add to expression as well as to the variation. And of course a lot of variation in camera angles and image composition. But the challenge here is also to not overdo it, there must be an "in-story" reason for showing the characters the way I do, otherwise it just feels forced.

It's great to hear that it worked out :D
