Booze - always good! ..?

I fear there are still hangovers. People are physically improved, but they "compensate" for that by drinking more. They may recover more quickly though ;)

Bye Itsy!
That's a very big crowd wanting booze. They should consider having hovering robots distribute the booze. They can be called flying booze bots.

Bye bye Isty, party's over! xD

Yay hover bots! That would be cool indeed! Hmmm, perhaps they actually tried that out once, but it didn't work out, bots malfunctioning or even falling down.. D:

C-ya later Isty!
Such a diverse assortment of characters in this comic. I like the guy with the cigarette. I'm sure I knew that guy back in high school.

*Isty throws a temper tantrum because she doesn't want to leave.

There's something "archetypical" with that guy..

I appreciate the work you did on that crowd. Easier said than done when drawing a scene like that. Plus, your obviously free handing the perspective in that panel, and it looks amazing!

Thanks. Nice to hear it worked out :D

Yes, I typically draw by instinct, only using some general rules of thumb. The perspective in this image is not perfect, but I decided it's good enough. Originally I wanted Matt, Alph and Pete to be on the same level as the crowd, but now they are rather somewhat above, as I think it makes a better effect. We just have to imagine they are standing on a platform, stairs or similar.

There is some really awesome suspense going on in this story. I'm really curious to find out what happened to Big C, the spaceship and what was in the box. I love how Alph's distracted recklessness just keeps adding to the suspense.

And yes, there will be more about Big C and that spaceship eventually, and the box.

Alph is, in many ways still a kid..

I'm really curious about this… how long does it take you to draw all these crowd-heavy pages? And do you use a certain technique? I wasn't kidding a few pages back when I said that crowd scenes really are something I wrestle with and I would love any advice you have. Because they all look great!

Thanks again.

It doesn't take that long to draw a crowd, the trick is - only the people most in front are drawn in all detail, the ones farther away are simplified, not as in stick-figures but in a blurred-out way. Or, depending on the perspective, you may only see the very top of their heads anyway, which is very quick to draw.
